US Food Safety Working Group

President Obama appointed a Food Safety Working Group within the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) on May 22. The Food Safety Working Group is charged with keeping food safe for the American people by fostering coordination throughout the government including such tasks as enhancing our food safety laws. Through a transparent process the Food Safety Work Group plans to build a food safety system that that meets the challenges of the global food supply in the 21st century.
